If anyone as ever finished off a basement, you know how hard it is. Luckily for me, I married a girl with a above average level of handiness in the family. By that I mean her cousin is wicked awesome and did about 85% of the work in my basement single handedly. Attached you'll find he pics of my basement. It is done! The carpet went in Wednesday and it looks great. All we have to do now is move in all the stuff. Next on the docket: finish the baby's room.

Here you see the built in safe. A must for any self respecting American gun owner.

Congrats. It looks sharp. I really like the trim around the built in safe. Being a girl I have to ask for a closer picture of the pattern under the chair rail and what this room's primary purpose is? I can not see yellow in the Man Cave, but there is always the chance that I am wrong.

No, in fact this is no man cave. We have a split level house, and this is the basement "Family Room". If you click on the picture, you'll get a nice big view of the wall paper, put up by me very own mother.

The built in gun safe, and trim around it, was flash of genious on the part of Cousin Conor.

The safe is flippin' sweet! I want to open it next time we visit. I'll use my stethoscope to crack the code....or something like that.

You could say that it is a "safe" investment.

OMG.

It be a shame if someone let on to the township about the whole thing.... A real shame.

It would also be a shame if someone was a dirty rat. Dirty Rats are not cool and sometimes you have to hire a rat catcher to "take care of them". Digg.

It is nice to see it finished. It looks good. What's in the safe? Gold bars? Gold bars are cool.
